Black Sabbath, David Bowie y QOTSA fueron algunos destacados en las nominaciones rockeras para los premios Grammy, que se entregan el próximo 26 enero.
En la categoría Mejor Álbum de Rock compiten los discos de Black Sabbath y David Bowie, además de Kings of Leon, Queens Of The Stone Age, Neil Young y Led Zeppelin con el en vivo de sus conciertos 2007 en el O2 Arena de Londres, publicado como «Celebration Day».
Como nominados en la categoría Mejor Performance Metal aparecen Anthrax, Black Sabbath, Volbeat y el tema grabado junto a King Diamond, además de Killswitch Engage y Dream Theater.
Por último en el apartado mejor canción rock figuran temas de Paul McCartney, Gary Clark Juniot, The Rolling Stones, Muse y otra vez Black Sabbath
